Baby Girl Kiana Serenity Layshay Merritt

Kiana Serenity Layshay Merritt was born September 4, 2022, to Shamiya Merritt and Gregory Javis, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA.    

Kiana, or as her family affectionally called her”Phat Phat was immensely loved and adored and her smile and laughter touch everyone who crossed her path.

Early Saturday morning August 12, 2023, at 7:20 a.m.. Kiana gained her wings at the Memorial Backus Children’s Hospital in Savannah, GA.

Kiana leaves to cherish her memories her loving parents, Shamiya and Gregory; Sisters: Keilani and Armani Merritt, Qua'Lyric and Aaliyah Javis & Sharita Gibbons; Brothers Jayquan Dunham, Reginald and Keion Gibbons, maternal and paternal grandparents, a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, and other loved ones.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup chapel (2524 S US 341, Jesup, GA 31546) with Rev Willie F. Davis officiating.

Baby Girl Kiana will lie in repose an hour prior to service time.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup (2524 S US 341, Jesup, GA 31546).
