Mr.Robert F. Brock

Robert F. Brock passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on September 17, 1942. Bob, as everyone knew him, attended Wayne County Training School in Jesup. He worked for the Department of transportation and the City of Jesup. He was married once for 50 years to Bennie Mae Brock, his ex-wife and long-life friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.C. “Sonny” Brock, mother, Mary Brock Samples, and sister, Linda Carrasquillo.

He leaves to mourn three daughters, Tonya Roberts and Denise Brock-Bell of Savannah, Georgia and Christine Long of Cleveland Ohio. Sisters, Ida Francis Thomas of Screven, Georgia, Georgia Doomes, Barbara Curry, and Mary Brock-McCallum of Jesup, Lucille Brock-Thomas of Brunswick, and Beulah Williams of Rockville, Maryland, eight grands, two great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Also, a special caregiver, like a daughter, Sharon Kincade of Jesup.

In his spare time, he would go fishing or sit under the tree cracking jokes with family and friends. In this time of remembrance, we take comfort in the knowledge that Bob has been received in the arms of his Savior and now rests in eternal peace.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup chapel (2524 S. US 341, Jesup, GA 31546), with Rev Andrew Thomas Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Screven Community Cemetery.

Mr. Brock will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. 

Public viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, and 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup chapel.
