Ms. Julia Ann Coston

Julia Ann Coston passed away quietly on March 4, 2023, at 82 years old. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and sister, and long-time member of the community.

Julia was born on July 5, 1940, in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Alma (Lewis) Tillman and Henry Lewis. For over forty years, she was married to Ernest Coston, who preceded her in death.

Her memories will be treasured by: her son – Ladell Wright of Jesup, GA; two sisters – Alma (Leonard) Cunningham and Deborah (Randolph) Jenkins, both of Rochester, NY; one aunt – Deloris Williams of Columbus, GA; one grandchild – Damien Wright of Los Angeles, CA; and four nieces and nephews – Marcella (Dan) Cunningham-Butler and Juanita Cunningham of Rochester, NY, Sonja Jenkins of Atlanta, GA, and Roderick Jenkins of Jesup, GA; and three cousins – Sherman, Edward, and Monica Williams.

Julia leaves behind an abundance of other family and friends who will mourn her loss, and who is honored to have shared her presence.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup (2524 S US Highway 341, Jesup, GA 31546) with Pastor Stanley Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.   

Ms. Coston will lie repose at Community Chapel Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time.  

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup (2524 S US Highway 341, Jesup, GA 31546).
