Ms. Martha D. Wilkerson

Martha Lean Wilkerson was born on July 1, 1956, to the late Marie Williams Daniels and Emory Daniels in Jesup, GA. She received her education in the Wayne County Training School.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Wayne County. She was preceded in death by both parents, one grandchild, Keyonna Wilkerson-Sease, her sisters, Shirley Williams, Maggie Stanley, Wanda Daniels-Scott, and one brother, Michael Daniels.

Martha, who was affectionately known by many as Mot, was a woman of few words with a big heart. Her love for others showed through and dedication to people both in the community and at her job. She often enjoyed transporting others and fishing.

She leaves to Cherish her memories; One(1) daughter, Shanell Lorraine Wilkerson, Jacksonville, Florida; Two (2) sons: David (Lashanda) Wilkerson and Samuel Jermaine Tippins both of Savannah, Georgia; Two (2) sisters, Annie (David) Roberts and Rose (Alfred) James, both of Jesup, GA; a brother, Emory Daniels, Ocala, FL; one (1) aunt: Dorothy Underwood; nine (9) grandchildren Myisha Wilkerson, Camron Boykins, Dashanna Wilkerson, David Wilkerson Jr., Kenon Sierre, April Smith, Lateesia Latson, Aquiesha Harris, Jermaine Tippins, and eight (8) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. 

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022, in the Odum City Cemetery, (735 Tillman Street, Odum, GA 31555), with Rev. Dr. Christopher S. West officiating. 

Public viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home (2524 S US Highway 341, Jesup, GA 31546).
