Ms. Mary F. Moore

Ms. Mary F. Moore, daughter of the late Harvey Grant and Priscilla “Bryant” Grant, was born December 30, 1939 in Screven, GA. 

Francis was a natural born caregiver at heart and cared for all her grandchildren and more. In her early adult years, she worked several years as a seamstress at Screven Manufacturer. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Johnnie Alvin Grant, Ida Mae Butler, Martha Lee Roberts, Nathaniel Grant Sr., Steven Grant Sr., and Jimmie Harvey Grant. 

Ms. Mary Moore’s memory will be forever cherished in the lives of her family of seven children: Eugene (Betty) Roberts, Josephine (Larry) Fussell, Jimmie Mae (John) Rhem, Mary Jernigan, David (LaSharn) Jernigan, Lucinda (Arnie) Tippins, and Lucius (Valerie) Jernigan. Along with her sisters and brothers: Elizabeth Roberts, Mathew (Barbara) Grant Sr., Priscilla Milledge, Rayford (Carolyn) Grant, Niezetta (Napolian) Gray, Ervin (Sophia) Grant, Sarah Grant and Aaron Grant. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the New Bethel Life Changing Ministries, (521 Brown St, Screven, GA 31560), with Elder Emmanuel Roberts officiating.

Ms. Moore will lie in repose 1- hour prior to funeral time. 

Public viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup.

Masks are required as for attendees.
