Pearlie Lee Roberson was one of twelve children born March 6, 1932, in Screven, Georgia to the late James and Queen Victoria Roberson. She departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2022, Being blessed to live 90 years.
She attended Georgia Baptist College which was a private grade school in Macon, Georgia and received her High School Diploma. She relocated and became a resident of Jersey City, New Jersey and was a member of Mt. Pisgh A.M.E. Church where she served as Stewardess for many years.
Pearlie was a beautician and took pride in her work. She worked as a home health aide. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, watching basketball, talking and spending time with family and friends. After retiring from the State of New Jersey she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to be with her niece the late Juanita Floyd.
Although Ms. Roberson never had children; she loved on many nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She was preceded in death by sisters: Abzerda Lane, Ira Mae Humber, Conrad Floyd, Carlean Ready, Victoria Smith, and Mamie Washington; brothers: Samuel Roberson, James T. Roberson, Ernest Roberson, Hercules Roberson, and Herbert Roberson.
She leaves to cherish her memories a niece Albertha Myles and nephew Walter Floyd, as well as a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Community Chapel Funeral Home of Jesup (2524 S US Highway 341, Jesup, GA 31546) with Pastor Robert Floyd officiating.
Ms. Roberson will lie in repose at Community Chapel Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time.
